Jagged Waves Blanket

Hello, how are you all?

If you’re anything like me you don’t know what day of the week it is and the “home schooling” schedule is close to being thrown out of the window!!

I’ve had a project on my hook keeping me sane(ish) which I’ve just released today! I can’t tell you how happy I am with the end result.

I initially wrote the pattern to be included in a yarn pack for Knitting Network last October in autumnal rainbow colours. As I can now release the pattern myself I decided to give it an update in a “tropical rainbow” (daughter’s description) /unicorn (youngest son’s description) themed colours and a brand new bobble stitch border.

The colours were actually inspired by a scrap of gift wrap I’d saved ages ago as I thought the design was really pretty. I found it again while I was sorting through my craft materials and as luck had it I actually had some of the colours in my yarn stash … I know right! It was a sign!

I’ve always loved the larksfoot stitch, it’s so retro looking 😍 If you’ve been following me for a while or visited here before you may have realised by now that I’m slightly obsessed with chevron patterns 😂 So in this pattern I’ve combined the two things, and I couldn’t be happier with the result.

The Jagged Waves Blanket Pattern is suitable for an Intermediate Crocheter and is written in UK crochet terminology. It can be purchased now from either my Etsy shop or Ravelry.

If you do end up buying the pattern, please share your progress pictures and finished blanket pictures with me on Instagram as I’d love to see!

Take care, Eleri xx

  1. Wow – looks great! Just received a new pack of wool in assorted colours and now found the perfect project.

  2. Hello! I’m new to your website/blog. Love your designs. Do you write patterns in US terms?
    Thank you and warm regards.

  3. Hi Sandra, welcome! 😊 It’s been on my to do list for so long to finish translating my patterns to US terms. There are a couple of patterns in my Etsy shop that are in US terms and also 2 on my blog that are free if that helps. Take care, Eleri.
